Backyard Wedding, Private Home – Morris Connecticut

Not everyone can turn their backyard into wedding venue, but that was not the case for Sam and Rob. Ive known Sam’s family since we were kids. Our parents worked together, we both attended dance at the same studio and went to rivalry high schools. I was beyond excited when Sam and Rob asked me to be apart of their big day and even more excited when I learned they were turning their backyard into the venue. Northwest Connecticut in the fall is one of the most beautiful things you will ever see and I can tell you first hand it did not disappoint come wedding day.

Both the ceremony and reception were held on Sam and Robs property. The ceremony was held in front of an old, non working well just off the driveway. It was the perfect size for their guests! Sam and the bridal party started off the house back porch, crossed the driveway before starting down the aisle. Once the ceremony was over, we ushered guests to the grassy area outside the tent. Their guests were able to enjoy a cocktail, and mingle while Sam, Rob and their families were off taking photos. Once ready we ushered guests into the tent. Sam and Rob entered in as husband and wife and our amazing band kicked the evening off. They were the perfect touch, and kept guests dancing all night long.
