The Brooklyn Historical Society – Brooklyn New York

Firstly, The Big Fake Wedding is a non traditional wedding show created to showcase the work of vendors. The show features a real-life couple renewing their vows in a mock ceremony. After that the “ceremony” guests are escorted the reception. The reception is set up to showcase the vendors who worked to execute the event.

Above all, this event included some of NYC and its surrounding areas best vendors. It doesn’t hurt that It was held at one of the most stunning and under rated Brooklyn venues. The Brooklyn Historic Society has a true historic feel. To round it all out, the space lends itself perfectly to any wedding. You can utilize the upstairs for a one of a kind ceremony and then escort guests downstairs to an open space that can be used for the reception.

Being chosen to be apart of The Big Fake wedding was one of the most rewarding experiences of my early career. Most importantly, I loved the unique take on todays wedding show and felt it gave not only couples a look into a real wedding but vendors a tangible way to showcase their work. In short, if you are a couple or a vendor attending The Big Fake wedding is a must to have on your to do list.

I was a true sucker for the detail on the dresses provided for the event. The details on both dresses were stunning. I loved that we chose to go with the sleeved dress over the strapless. It lent so well to the feel of the event.
